It's been a while!!!

Ok, well, it has been a good long time since I have blogged. Sorry about that. It has been a very crazy, life changing couple of months. We had a birthday at the front end of October, Tristan turned 4!!! He got a leapster handheld video game, and a few clothes and books at a small family party. I am glad that he is finally getting out of that three year old stage! Most people know that our family is in the middle of a divorce:-( We are getting through it very well, though, and I think things will be the better for it. I am now working full time at Rosewood Dental in Tooele, as a hygienist. I encourage everyone who hasn't yet to come and see me and get their teeth cleaned! The job is wonderful and keeps me very busy. The kids seem to be adjusting very well to their new babysitter, Angie. She is most wonderful, I think. All in all, things are well. We had a good little Halloween, and I am looking forward to the holidays with my family in Salt Lake. It has been so very busy. Adjusting to working full time and taking care of two kids on my own is a challenge of course, but I know that we are going to make it and things are gonna be even more awesome than they already are! I wish I had more exciting stuff to talk about;-) Hopefully we will be getting some new family pictures posted pretty soon! Love to all!!!! T.

These Days.....

The past few days have all been days where I am wishing I were a giraffe. I have complained that I feel like the rules of this universe that apply to me, don't seem to apply to everyone else. Anyone else ever get that feeling? I'll bet even a giraffe does occasionally, but probably not as often as I do. I know....I should really stop complaining so much. On the up side of things, my friend got me the best gift I have probably ever gotten. It is a beautiful new handbag. I love it so much, and I hope she knows how much I love her too! Her birthday is coming soon. Any ideas?

Isabelle

We had to say goodbye to the Garff family yesterday:-( They are awesome friends and we will miss them. They had to move to Phoenix due to a job transfer, and were sadly unable to take their three cats. So, this is David's birthday present. Her name is Isabelle. She is a very sweet little four month old female dirtball kitty. The kids absolutely will not leave her alone, the poor thing! I think that she will fit in nicely here. Sasha is calming down about her being in the house for right now, and has stopped chasing her. Mexi seems to like her pretty well too. Paco is going to be a bit more of a problem though, I think.

Just thought you might need to know......

Fact: Ever see a fainting giraffe? If a giraffe's neck didn't contain pumping ventricles in its neck as well as its heart, then the animal would black out every time it raised its head to eat. Source: ThinkQuest Library and University of Colorado So, I ask: Is this woman going to need extra ventricles in her neck too? ....Just asking....

What I'm grateful for

In Primary Presidency meeting the other week, we read an article that said, "...this world is not a pleasant place to live in...." I agreed. These are some rough times it seems. I know of more people than just myself that are not having the best of months or weeks right now. Having my husband gone out of town for 6 weeks has been hard on my family. I just hope that all of my friends know how much they have helped me get through these recent rough waters. The world might not be all that pleasant at times, but there are some people I know that are most stunning! I thank my Heavenly Father for my friends, and I thank my friends for their friendship, love and support when I feel knocked around by a storm. You all know who you are!! Thank you and I love you dearly. I hope that my friends know that they can count on me to be there too. Anything you need!!! All you need is a good friend or two.

Last but not least!

Lyla. My baby is almost 20 months. Yes, I am done having kids (excepting a major accident). I love them, but I am certain that I just cannot handle any more! Almost three years ago, Cede asked for a little sister, we said "ok". Here she is!! She is going to be the classic spoiled youngest sibling. She already is. We are lucky that she allows us to sleep in our bed with her every night. Lyla loves babies, drinking milk, the feel of skin with her little fingers, and trying to burst my eardrums with highly pitched deafening screams. Her new favorite saying is, "No, mine!"

Tristan

I just love this picture! He is just the most beautiful boy in the world. Tristan will be four in two weeks. I can't wait because I remember when Cede turned four there was an immediate, distinct personality change. I think the three's are the worst. Is it too much to hope for the same thing in child number two? I tell him all the time that he is my favorite boy in the world. He is so clever and animated! He knows what he wants, and how to get me to give it to him! Tristan loves trains, the Disney channel, and tormenting his baby sister.

Cede

This is our oldest Daughter, Cede (Say-dee). She is seven years old and in the first grade this year. She is by far the easiest of the three. Cede will play for hours by herself. I did not have the privilege of being her birth mother, so she lives in Florida instead of with us. We see her every summer and hopefully she will be coming out for the holidays soon too. We miss her so bad when she's not here, she is such a joy to have around. Everyone thinks so! She loves elephants, dress up, her pets, and all other animals too.

The Looney Bin

These are the kids. Their main mission in life is to get me sent to an asylum, and let me tell you, they are getting so very close. I have wanted to be a mom as long as I can remember. Of course, no one knows what that is going to be like until they are in the thick of it. I love my kids so much. They are my reason for getting up in the morning and my reason for my prayers of gratitude that the day is finally over. I am sure to have a lot to blog about because of them!

"Everyone is doing it"

I get asked sometimes, "Do you have a blog?" Now I can say, "YES." I haven't done this previously because I get easily frustrated when the computer refuses to behave itself. It did just that today. This is the second time I am doing this post. I even enlisted the help of my friend, all to no avail. I kept wondering if the other bloggers I know had spent as much time (all day) setting theirs up. Anyway, maybe this time it will work the way I want it to. So, it was somewhat of a giraffe day. I'll bet giraffes don't blog. Life would be easier if I were a giraffe.
